Brian Cooper, president, started Cooper Mind and Body, Inc
in 2006 just after finishing a Master's of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. In his fifteen
years as a personal trainer and strength coach he discovered that though many clients met goals in the fitness, wellness,
performance arenas, much of his time was spent dealing with the emotional and mental needs of his clients. Researching the
idea of exercise and therapy combined resulted in some interesting findings. Studies have shown exercise has a dramatic and
immediate impact on mood, self-esteem, and mental disease states, sometimes as much an impact as medication and often as much
as traditional talk therapy. Life-coaching is the current trend to address this combined need, but no standards concerning
education or experience are currently in place for someone to call themselves a life-coach. Only a handfull of professionals
nation wide have the education and qualifications in fitness and mental health to address the true mental and physical needs
of their clients. Cooper Mind and Body, Inc does just that.
